Presentation of the chateau & bed/breakfast in Provence

For a truly enchanting week-end break or holiday, indulge yourself in a stay in this romantic chateau dating back to the 19th century on the foundations of a 17th century manor house, lovingly restored by the owners.

A warm welcome awaits you in this delightful Chateau, situated on the edge of a typical Provencal village. Famous for its lavender fields, it is located in the heart of the region of the famous writer “Jean Giono”, not far from Manosque, from Moustiers-Sainte-Marie and the Verdon Gorges and lakes, one of the most grandiose canyons in Europe.

Do relax in the serene and cheerful atmosphere of this elegant home still haunted more than two centuries later by the spirit of Admiral de Villeneuve, tormented by the failure of Trafalgar and Napoleon’s fury. Jeanne Bonaparte, Napoleon’s gran niece, frequently stayed in that place as she married a member of the familly, Marquis Christian de Villeneuve Esclapon.

Two impressive suites and three charming rooms with individual character are available with secure parking facilities in the courtyard of the chateau. Wi-Fi is at your disposal but you will not find a lift or TV in this 17th century house. Everyone is expected here to find a little dream. Relish the dishes of our ’table d’hôtes’ ‘candle-lights dinner’. Our traditional French cooking is carefully prepared with fresh local products.
We can also recommend some good restaurants around (see page “Tours & links ").

Within a radius of 25kms, you have a multitude of natural sites of incomparable beauty that you can discover through hiking or horse-riding trails but also by car or minibus tours, not to mention villages and museums. You can enjoy the delights of swimming in the lakes of the Verdon whose water has a wonderful transparency, or explore some of the gorges by canœ. If you are energetic you can also canœ on the Verdon rapids or paraglide over the canyon. Our location is also close from the famous "Route Napoleon" and the heart of the "lavender road".
That’s why we strongly suggest you should click on the page «Tours & links» where we have carefully selected for you the main attractions of this beautiful area, so you can easily organize activities related to your stay and make the most of it.

Our visitors are welcome from 4.30 p.m. and may park their personal vehicle in the courtyard. The gate is closed at night.

Please note that we speak English, French and Italian. Pets are not allowed.
